Movie Night
I don’t know about you but there is nothing better than cuddling up next to the one you love and watching a movie. Eric and I love to trade on and off on who gets to pick the movie so that way we both get to watch movies that we each like. Sometimes we are even crazy enough to watch two movies; one of each of our choices! And what goes best with a movie? POPCORN! So pop a bag or two, put your favorite toppings on it, and press play!
Bowling
Going bowling is one of my favorite winter dates. Even though neither of us are very good at the sport, we still enjoy doing it together. We really enjoy celebrating the strikes and laugh together when we throw a gutter ball. Plus if you can go to one of the night bowling sessions they usually turn the lights down and play fun music which adds even more fun to the night.
Take a Scenic Drive
Whether you take a drive before or after Christmas, it’s nice to take a drive around your neighborhood and seeing the beauty of the snow and decorations. One of our Christmas traditions is to get in the car, turn on Christmas music, and look at the lights on the houses in our subdivision. There is something magical about the lights that just makes you happier.
Go for Coffee
Who doesn’t love a cup of hot coffee (or hot chocolate) in the winter time? So go find your favorite coffee shop and chat about your favorite winter activities.You might even come up with an idea for your next date while you’re there.
Play a Board Game Together
Eric and I’s favorite shared hobby is playing board games. We go to our favorite board game store every couple of weeks and buy a new game to try out. We really enjoy it because it gets us away from our phones and computers and engages our brains to think about strategies and solutions. I would recommend that any couple should try playing a game together. If you are interested in learning about some great two player board games, let me know. It could be a future blog post!
